Families looking for free Halloween activities during October half-term can head to Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex for a week of spooky fun.

From Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30, the centre’s Central Atrium will host the Witchy Woo Apothecary, a themed experience for children.

Young visitors can join 15-minute sessions led by a witch and warlock, who will help them mix up magical potions like “bogey brew.”

Nancy Foster, centre director at Lakeside Shopping Centre, said: “This Halloween, we’re giving families even more reasons to make a day of it at Lakeside.

“From carving pumpkins and concocting magical potions to enjoying our brilliant leisure offer, including Flip Out, Puttshack and Hollywood Bowl, there is plenty to keep little ones entertained throughout half-term.”

Children will be guided through tongue-twisting spells and conjuring dance moves before taking home their own pot of goopy potion.

The activities are part of a broader half-term programme at Lakeside.

The shopping centre, which offers more than 250 shops, restaurants and leisure experiences, aims to provide a full day out for families during the school break.
