Jamal Uddin Ahmed exchanges views with Sylhet Journalists

Sylhet divisional commissioner Jamal Uddin Ahmed sought role of  media in attaining national progress as Bangladesh is now on the way to development and making its endeavor towards flourishing democratic process.

‘It is our sacred responsibility to nourish and foster this development process through concerted efforts so that a happy and prosperous country is established,’ he while talking to Journalists in divisional conferrence room Sylhet on Tuesday noon.

He hopes and aspirations of the people. ‘As you know, accuracy, objectivity, patriotism and publicaccountability are some of the vital elements of ethics in journalism, which should be upheld,’ he said. He said that a good newspaper is the mirror of the society that reflects the overall development and affairs of a nation in its true perspective. Sylhet press club president Ikbal Siddiki, Secretary Sirazul Islam, Ekramul Kobir Eku, Syed Suzat Ali, Aftab Chowdhury, S.A Shofiee, Saleh Ahmed Hossain, Khaled Ahmed, Mozibur Rahamn Dalim were, among others, present on the occasion.
