Five held with wine, Yaba in Sylhet

Five persons were held with 15 liters of wine and 180 pieces of Yaba pills from Goinghat upazila under Sylhet district and Sutabazar area of Habiganj district early Saturday.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion-9 (RAB), Detective Branch (DB) of Sylhet police and Goinghat Thana police held them in separate drives.
The arrestees were identified as Alim Uddin, 50, son of late Sayesta Khan, Nazrul Alam, 20, son of Harun-ur-Rashid, Bellal Ahmed, 21, son of late Mahmud Ali, Alamgir Hossain, 40, son of Iqbal Hossain and Rubel Chardra Pal, 25, son of Poresh Chandra Pal.
Sources concerned said that the Goinghat Thana police held Alim Uddin with 15 liters of wine from Muhammadpur area while DB held Nazrul Alam and Bellal Ahmed with 15 pieces of Yaba from Salutikar area and RAB held Alamgir Hossain and Rubel Chardra Pal with 180 pieces of Yaba from Sutabazar area of Habiganj district.
