Tarique Rahman Iftar with Bangla media Journalists

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman last week attended an Iftar Mahfil in his honour arranged by the UK Unit of the BNP.  The iftar event was principally to meet and greet Bangla journalists from a number of print and electronic media in the UK.
The party’s UK unit hosted the Iftar Party at Bric Lane, east London in honour of the Bangladeshi Journalists  and Tarique Rahman was present as the chief guest.
Former education minister and BNP’s international secretary Ehsanul Haque Milon, The party’s international secretary Mahidur Rahman, Human Rights secretary Barrister Nasir Uddin Ashim, Uk BNP president M A Malique, general secretary Kaysor M Ahmad, chief advisor Sayesta Chowdhury Quddus, media team convener Taj Uddin, member secretary Akter Hossain, member Dr M Mujibur Rahman, Nazmul Hossain Jahid, Akhter Mahmud were present among others.
From the journalists side editor of Weekly London Bangla KM Abu Taher Chowdhury, former editor Shah Yousuf, Masud Hasan from BBC, chief editor of Weekly Janomot syed Nahas Pasha, news editor Musleh Uddin, Editor of Bangla Mirror Abdul Karim Goni,  managing director of Channel I Europe Reza Ahmad Faisal Chowdhury Shoaib, executive editor of Channel S Saleh Shibli, editor of Weekly Surma Ahmed Moyez, senior journalist Nazrul Islam Bason, Barrister Tarique Chowdhury from Bangla Post, editor of Weekly Desh Taisir Mahmud were attended at the Iftar Party.
Tarique Rahman thanked the assembled party members and journalists and announced that he intends to perform Umrah hajj in Saudi Arabia where he hoped to meet his mother, the BNPchair person, Mrs Khaleda Zia.  He will depart UK on 8 July he said.
