President of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Md Abdul Hamid has arrived in London on 23rd August for treatment of his eye-problem and health checkup. President Hamid is scheduled to have eye treatment at Moorfield Eye Hospital and heart checkup at Bupa Cromwell Hospital.
The President was received by Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Md Abdul Hannan, President of UK Awami League Sultan Sharif and General Secretary Syed Sajidur Rahma Faruk when the flight carrying him arrived at Heathrow Airport at 8.30pm on Sunday.
President Md Abdul Hannan left Dhaka for the UK on August 23. Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Dean of Diplomatic Corps in Dhaka and British High Commissioner Robert Gibson saw him off at the airport. Senior officials including chiefs of the three services were also present. Hamid is expected to return to Bangladesh on 30th August, according to Bangladesh High Commission London.
