Tower Hamlets Speaker Abdul Mukit Chunu organised a meeting in his office to felicitate the prominent businessman and chirman of JMG cargo Monir Ahmed. The speaker handed over a felicitation memorandum to Monir Ahmed on 24th May in his office in East London.
Tower Hamlets Councilor Sabina Akter conducted this meeting. Guests who were present in the meeting included General Secretary of UK Bangla Press Club and Chief Executive of ATN Bangla UK Hafiz Alom Baksh, Director of Hamlets Training Centre Jamal Ahmed, Manager security of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Muminul Islam, Chief Executive of JMG Cargo Dilara Khatun Jeni, Director of Heathrow Branch Shamshadur Rahman Shahin, Membership Director of BBCCI Shorkum Khaled Ahmed, Press and Publicity Director A K M Azad, Organising Secretary of UK Bangla Press Club Shoeb Kabir, Journalist Mostaque Babul, Executive Editor of Sunrise Today Enam Chowdhury, MD Kawsar, Akram Hossain of NTV, Md Shumon and others.
Speaker of Tower Hamlets Abdul Mukit Chunu Mbe said that a generous businessman Monir Ahmed always dedicates himself to the community whenever needed and as a result of this, as an acitivist in Tower Hamlets he thinks that this felicitation is due for him. He also mentioned that, by doing this, Monir Ahmed’s commitment towards the community would increase multifold.
In his speech, prominent businessman Monir Ahmed said that this felicitation will inspire him event more. He also mentioned that JMG cargo is not just a business enterprise, it is also a tool for his community work. He emphasised that he wants to involve more with community work. He and his team is working in the remote parts of Bangladesh and in future he wishes to increase his capacity.
Monir Ahmed also said that JMG cargo has now offices all over the Europe. 75% cargo of booking of Biman Bangladesh are done through JMG. His company is not just a successful business enterprise by itself, it has also opened up doors for many Bangladeshis lining in the UK and Bangaldesh.
He expressed his sincere gratitude to Speaker Abdul Mukit Chunu for his recognition and appreciation.
