Rushanara Ali, MP for Bethnal Green and Bow told in a meeting that people who are supporting Vote Leave Campaign, making an excuse that it could help alleviate the Curry industry crisis, are absolutely on a wrong trail. She also said that if the current conservative Party wants to bring people from Bangladesh, they can now. To bring people from Bangladesh, UK does not need to leave the EU.

UKBCCI organised this dinner party to celebrate the recent appoint of Rushanara Ali as the Trade Envoy of Bangladesh. Barrister Anwar Babul Miah, Director of UKBCCI, conducted the meeting.

Rushanara Ali also mentioned that during the Labour Government’s term, UK curry industry used to bring skilled labour from many countries including Bangladesh and India. She also mentioned that it is better for immigrants to remain in the UK as a lot of rights are secured for the immigrants within the EU law.

Rushanara Ali MP also mentioned that in this year there were 2.3 billion pounds worth of business transaction between Bangladesh and the UK and 240 companies took part in this. She also said that seven British Universities already opened their campus in Bangladesh.
