VISITING NORFOLK

By Sawda Karim:

During the bank holiday weekend of 16th to the 19th of September 2022 all my family visited Norfolk. We had an exciting time doing lots of activities.
We all stayed in a big house called Maples in Hunstanton, where there was a Victorian beach. My favourite room in the house was the games room- the games room had a pool table (If you flipped it over it was an air hockey table). There were lots of different board games and a games console. We played various games throughout our stay: I played lots of pool with my family.
The first evening we ordered pizza, and they were all scrumptious (but maybe that was because we were starving after a 3-hour journey). That evening was very chaotic because we were sorting sleeping arrangements, and we were settling in. Everyone had excitement in their stomachs because the fun had started.
After, we relaxed for a bit then we got ready for bed. We were all extremely tired, so we went to bed to have a good night’s sleep for the next day.
The next day, we ate our breakfast and then sorted out what we were going to do. After some time, we decided to go to Sealife. Sealife was amazing, you could see lots of different sea creatures and we learned lots of interesting facts.
The most exciting part of sea life was the GIFT SHOP! I couldn’t wait. We bought lots of different toys.
We went back to the house, and we ordered fish and chips (yummy!) Then we played some games and rested. Later that day, we went for a walk to the beach. It was enjoyable, we took our wellington boots because we went into the sea to look for starfish and seashells. I found loads, I opened one up and there was a slimy creature.
We entered the house and ordered an Indian takeaway. We were starving so we finished it in one minute. After we played games then went to bed.
The next morning, we went to the funfair we went on lots of rides. It was nice to spend that time with my younger cousins. We got some doughnuts and they were amazing.
That night we started packing bits and pieces to get ready for departure. I was feeling emotional because this meant the end of our trip.
When we woke up in the morning, we were feeling sad as we had to say bye to some of our family members who were leaving at different times.
We started our journey back to London. As we were driving, we passed Sandringham we remembered it was the Queens funeral.
When returning home, we put the tv to watch the Queens funeral.
That was the end of our lovely family getaway!
