Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin today directed the Forest Department to take stern actions against the grabbers of forest.
“Appropriate legal measures should continue to recover the encroached forest land across the country,” he said while speaking at a progress review meeting of the annual development programme (ADP) held at the Secretariat here.
The forest minister also directed the authorities concerned to take necessary measures to properly look after the animals of Dulahazara Safari Park in Cox’s Bazar and Bangabandhu Safari Park in Gazipur.
“If any animal gets sick, advice should be taken from experts,” he added.
About pollution, Shahab Uddin said campaigns should be carried out through print and electronic media to increase mass awareness on noise pollution.
“Also, the ongoing campaign to curb air pollution should continue,” he said, adding that all development programmes should be implemented properly.
