The stubbornness of two major political parties over the election-time government is dangerous for the country, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal.
He was talking to reporters after a meeting with a foreign delegation at the Election Commission at Agargaon in the capital on Thursday.
The CEC said the results will create risks if major political parties don’t take part in the next parliamentary elections.
Habibul Awal also expressed the hope that it would be possible to reach a political consensus over the election-time government within the next few months.
He also urged the ruling party to be more active to bring everyone to the election.
