Liberation War Affairs secretary made OSD

Senior Secretary to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Khaja Miah has been made officer on special duty (OSD) at the Ministry of Public Administration.

The decision to remove him was informed by the Ministry of Public Administration through a circular on Tuesday (July 11).

Several newspapers have made reports that Khaja Miah held several roadside and opinion sharing meetings during his recent visit to his village home on Eid-ul-Azha vacation. At those meetings, he expressed his willingness to take part in the upcoming parliamentary election as an Awami League candidate from Narail-1 constituency. He also criticised various irregularities of Kabirul Huq Mukti MP of the constituency. Amid widespread talks on him, he was made OSD on Tuesday.

Khaja Miah was born on July 5, 1965 at village Fuldaha under Kalia upazila in Narail district. Belonging to the 10th BCS Administration Cadre, Khaja Miah joined the government service in 1991. He took over the charge of the Liberation War Affairs Ministry as the secretary on June 2, 2021. Then he was promoted as the senior secretary on June 1 last.
