Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 7 wickets in 3rd ODI

Bangladesh have beaten Afghanistan by 7 wickets (with 159 balls remaining) in the 3rd ODI in three-match series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Tuesday.

Tigers scored 129 runs after losing three wickets in 23.3 overs. With this victory, Tigers have been able to avoid whitewash as Afgans won two matches earlier.

Litton Das was on the crease with 53 not out and his partner Towhid Hridoy was 22.

Earlier, Afghanistan finished their innings by scoring 126 runs losing all wickets against Bangladesh.

Shoriful Islam took four wickets while Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam took two wickets each and Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz got one wicket each.

Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and decided to bat first.

After losing an ODI series for the first time against Afghanistan, Bangladesh made three changes to the side with fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam, making their way in the place of Mustafizur Rahman, Ebadot Hossain and Hasan Mahmud.

Apart from Rashid Khan, Afghanistan also excluded fast bowler Saleem Safi from the squad and brought in pacer Abdur Rahman and left-arm spinner Zia-ur-Rehman replaced them, both are on their debut.
