Bangladesh thrashed Sri Lanka to win the second T20I by eight wickets and level the three match series to 1-1 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
The Tigers have bounced back in style after they lost the first game by a slender margin. All credit goes to the Bangladeshi bowlers for keeping things tight and not allowing the visitors to post a massive target.
Meanwhile, Bangladeshi top order did an excellent job while Najmul Hossain Shanto shmashed 53 facing 38 balls.
Sri Lanka were put into bat once again by the hosts and this time, they weren’t that convincing with the bat. After being asked to bat first, they have lost their opener Avishka early in the innings, however, Kusal Mendis and Kamindu Mendis had a crucial partnership for the second wicket.
But, both of them departed in quick succession as Bangladesh bowlers managed to pulled things back to an extent. Asalanka, Mathews and Shanaka chipped in with handy contributions as the visitors reached a formidable total.
