SC promotes over 300 judges to District Judge

The Supreme Court’s (SC) full-panel on Tuesday decided to promote over 300 lower court judges as District Judges.

Over 200 other lower court judges were promoted to the rank of additional district judge.

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed presided over the meeting between 3pm and 5pm on the apex court premises.

In total, 20 issues were expected to be discussed in the meeting, but not all could be discussed due to time constraints, including the approval of SC’s calendar.
