Tarique Rahman’s nomination declared valid

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s nomination paper from Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency has been declared valid.

The decision was announced around 10:20AM on Saturday after scrutinised by Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Md Toufiqul Rahman.

Meanwhile, the nomination paper of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel for the same constituency has also been declared valid.

Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal’s (BASAD) candidate Dilruba Nuri’s nomination from Bogura-6 seat was cancelled.

Md Toufiqul Rahman said that no irregularities were found during the verification process of Tarique Rahman’s nomination paper.
