Maldives president arrives in Dhaka for swearing-in

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bangladesh’s new cabinet.

He was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by the interim government’s Foreign Adviser M Touhid Hossain.

Mohamed Muizzu landed at 9:07AM on Qatar Airways flight QR-640.

Several high-level foreign dignitaries, including Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Speaker of India’s Lok Sabha Om Birla, and the foreign ministers of Nepal, Sri Lanka and some other countries, are expected to attend the ceremony scheduled for this afternoon.
