Ahsan Habib Palash made RAB DG

Ahsan Habib Palash, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Chattogram Range, has been appointed Director General (DG) of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

The information was confirmed through a notification signed by Toufique Ahmed, Deputy Secretary of the Police Branch-1 of the ministry.

There have also been changes in the leadership of the police’s Special Branch (SB), and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Under the order, Additional Inspector General at Police Headquarters Sarder Nurul Amin has been appointed chief of the Special Branch (SB), while Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, another additional inspector general at Police Headquarters, has been made chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Current CID chief Additional Inspector General Sibgat Ullah has been transferred to Police Headquarters.
