Bangladesh, China stress stronger cooperation at Beijing meeting

Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman held talks with Liu Haixing, minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee (IDCPC), in Beijing on Thursday, focusing on ways to further strengthen bilateral ties.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed Bangladesh-China friendship, connectivity, trade and investment, multilateral cooperation and regional issues.

The foreign minister highlighted Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s vision of building a connected and globally engaged Bangladesh.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the One China Principle and expressed willingness to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
