Budget session set to begin on 7 June

The national budget session for the upcoming fiscal year, which starts 1 July, will begin on 7 June at the National Parliament.

The Parliament Secretariat issued a notification in this regard on Thursday, saying the budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year will be discussed in the second session of the 13th Parliament.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has called the session under Article 72(1) of the Constitution, it added.
