
A solo Rabindra Sangeet album titled “Dile Amare Jagaye” by singer Maksura Antara will be released on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti on Friday.
The album, produced under the banner of Bengal Foundation, is scheduled to premiere at 9:00am on the foundation’s YouTube channel. It features eight Rabindra Sangeet tracks of different styles, said a press release.
All lyrics and compositions in the album were written by Rabindranath Tagore. The music arrangement was done by Amlan Haldar, while instrumental performances include tabla by Prosenjit Shil, sitar by Subhash Bose, sarod by Kaushik Mukharjee, flute by Sushanta Nandi, violin by Amlan Haldar, and keyboard by Tanmoy Chatterjee.
The album was recorded by Chandan Ghosh and Rupan Chowdhury, with mixing and mastering by Chandan Ghosh. Recording sessions took place at Renaissance Studio in Kolkata and Potmonjori Studio in Dhaka.
Maksura began her musical journey at the age of seven and received training in classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, and Nazrul Sangeet under Mahmood Hasan Babu at Suchana Sangeet Vidyaniketan in Manikganj.
She later completed a six-year Rabindra Sangeet course from Chhayanaut in 2015, securing first place in her department.
Currently, she serves as an Assistant Teacher at Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College and also teaches in the Rabindra Sangeet department at Chhayanaut. She is an enlisted Rabindra Sangeet artist of Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar, as well as a listed artist of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
