Deaths from measles, symptoms cross 600

Deaths among children due to measles and related symptoms have crossed 600 in just over two and a half months, according to an updated released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday.

Seven new deaths from measles-like symptoms were recorded in the 24 hours till 8am on Wednesday. No death from confirmed measles case was reported over the same period.

Over the 24-hour period, 55 people were diagnosed with confirmed measles and 1,210 with related symptoms.
