High Court grants bail to Bidisha

The High Court has granted bail to Bidisha Siddiq, former wife of late President Hussain Muhammad Ershad, who was sentenced to two years in prison in a fraud case filed with Gulshan Police Station in the capital.

A High Court bench comprising Justice Md Khairul Alam and Justice Md Rafizul Islam granted her bail on Sunday (6 September).

Advocate Md Masud Mia represented Bidisha in the court.

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Shahjahan Kabir rejected her bail petition on 2 September.
