The Australian High Commission in Bangladesh has welcomed Stephen Rodriques, the new Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bangladesh.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the Australian High Commission said the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on Bangladesh’s development priorities and discuss ways to further strengthen the longstanding partnership between Australia and UNDP.

The discussions focused on social protection, systems strengthening and governance, it said.

The two sides also discussed opportunities for collaboration to support institutional reform, sustainable economic development and climate resilience in Bangladesh.
