Radda clinic in Mirpur declared free of occupation

After the attack, looting and vandalism, the Radda MCH-FP Centre in the capital’s Mirpur has now been declared free of occupation, and the healthcare institution’s own signboard has been hung there.

On Monday morning, September 28, clinic authorities removed the signboard put up by the occupiers and hung the institution’s own signboard.

Meanwhile, renovation work has begun at the clinic even before the marks of the attack and vandalism have dried. Workers are busy repairing the damaged sections. However, healthcare services have not stopped even in such a situation; alongside regular services inside, health workers have kept emergency medical activities running by setting up chairs and tables outside to manage the crowd.

On September 24 at midnight, an attack, looting and vandalism took place at the Radda MCH-FP Centre located in Section No. 1 of Mirpur in the capital.

The clinic authorities alleged that after the attack, a signboard in the name of ‘Samamona Dokandar Samabay Samity Limited’ was hung in place of their institution.

The DMP said police have so far arrested nine people in the incident. Two trucks of looted goods have also been recovered. Additionally, Shah Ali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jahangir Alam was withdrawn after the incident.
