From the adaptation of Sharat Chandra Chattopaddhyay’s Devdas promising play director Imraul Rafat has made a special telefilm titled Abar-o Devdas on the occasion of coming Eid-ul-Fitr. Afran Nisho acted in role of present time adapted role Dip and Mithila acted in role of Parbati famed Parul in the telefilm. Popular ramp model cum actress Jannatul Ferdous Peya also acted in role of Chandramukhi famed Chandni. Tariq Anam Khan, Niloy, Evana, among others, also acted in other roles in the telefilm. Shooting of the telefilm began at a shooting house in Savar’s Zirabo area on Saturday. While talking about the making of telefilm director Imraul Rafat told this correspondent, “On the basis on Islam religion and from the adaptation of Sharat Chandra’s story Devdas I have tried to portray present time Devdas with new dimension. Viewers will get something new in my Devdas. I am requesting the viewers not to search similarity of Sharat Chandra’s Devdas in my telefilm Abar-o Devdas.”While talking about to act in this telefilm actor Afran Nisho said, “Mithila is my childhood friend. For this reason, I always feel good to work with her with joyful mood. I earlier thought that I could get the opportunity to work with her together in a telefilm. I am giving thanks to director Rafat to cast us in this telefilm. Mithila acted nice in role of Parul in the telefilm.”Mithila shared her feelings by this way, “I am fond of Devdas of Sharat Chandra from my childhood. I was impressed to watch not only watch Chanshi Nazrul’s Devdas but also astonished to watch Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Devdas. I always though that if anybody made Devdas next time I would get the opportunity to act in role of Parbati. Rafat cooperated me to fulfil my dream to play in role of Parul. I have acted in role of modern time Parul in the telefilm.”The telefilm Abar-o Devdas has been made to air on SA TV in Eid-ul-Fitr, said director Rafat.Though they were childhood friend in matured age Nisho and Mithila for the first time worked together in Amitabh Reza’s directed a TV commercial of Close Up. Later they also worked together in Masud’s directed a play titled Before The Love. They last worked together in last year’s Eid-ul-Azha play titled Aamar Stri Atotayiee.Meanwhile on the occasion of coming Eid Mithila acted in Sitar’s directed a play titled Selfiebad and Mabrur Rashid Bannah’s directed another play titled Cry Baby Cry.
