The full-length feature film ‘Brihannala’, directed by Murad Pervez, is going to participate in a film festival in Italy; the film has been invited to participate in the competition category of the 10th edition of the festival titled ‘A film for Peace Festival 2015’. The award giving ceremony will be held on the concluding day of the festival on July 12. Besides Bangladesh, a total number of 73 films from 25 countries, including Iran, Canada, Denmark, France, China, Brazil, America, Spain were submitted in the festival, in which 30 films have been nominated, and ‘Brihannala’ is one of those nominated films. ‘Brihannala’ depicts the story of Hindu-Muslim conflicts set in a small village called Mohanpur. The film stars Sohana Saba, Ferdous Ahmed, Azad Abul Kalam, Jhuna Choudhury and Intekhab Dinar, among others. To note, director of the film Murad Parvez has also been invited to the Italy festival.
