Abdul Goffur Khalisadar: All war criminals will be brought to justice

He was speaking at a discussion meeting in honour of him on Thursday 30 July at the Montefiore Centre, Hanbury Street. E1. In reminiscing 1971 Abdul Goffur Khalisadar talked about how he had organised up to 2000 villagers to fight the Pakistani military amongst other pro liberation activity during Bangladesh’s War of Liberation. He praised the work of International Crimes Tribunal, welcomed the verdict on Saka Chowdhury and ensured the meeting that gradually all war criminals including those of Balagonj will be brought to justice.

The meeting was chaired by Ansar Ahmed Ullah, UK Sector Commanders Forum’s Vice Chair and conducted by Jamal Ahmed Khan, Asst Secretary, UK Nirmul Committee with Sajjad Miah, President of Brick Lane Mosque being the chief guest.

Those who spoke at the event were brother of Abdul Goffur Khalisadar Mr Abdul Rahim Khalisadar, Ishaque Kajol, Acting Chair, UK Nirmul Committee, Nurul Haq Lala Miah, President London Mahanagar Awami League, Ansarul Haq Awami League, Haylal Uddin Ali, Secretary of Brick Lane Mosque, Ex Cllr Nooruddin Ahmed, businessman Ashik Chowdhury, Motiur Rahman, Noor Uddin, & Mitu Miah of Brick Lane Mosque, Mazumder Ali, Sayek Ahmed, Syed Golab Ali of East London Awami League, Jalil Chowdhury, Awami League Advisory committee member, Shah Tufayel, Muthahir Ali Suhel of Nirmul Committee, Abdul Rakib, journalist Jewel Raj and Azizur Rahman Laku amongst many other pro liberation activists.
