The opening date of Dhaka metro rail’s Agargaon to Motijheel route has been postponed to October 29.
Earlier, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader announced that the Motijheel section of the metro rail would be inaugurated on October 20.
Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Nuri conveyed this to the media while Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Secretary Muhammad Abdur Rauf confirmed it on Monday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the MRT Line-6.
The metro rail service from Uttara to Agargaon was opened on December 28, 2022 and all stations in this section have already been operational.
Currently, the metro rail operates from 8am-8pm daily.
