Youth electrocuted in Moulvibazar

A young man died from electrocution while catching fish at Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar district on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occured in Mohisajuri area under Rauthgaon union in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Saidul Alam Roni 30, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Monoraj village in the upazila.

It was learnt that Roni came in contact with a live electric wire and drowned he was catching fish in a fishery.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said  Anowar Hossain, sub-inspector of Kulaura Police Station.

Legal steps would be taken in this regard, the police official added.
