All forces preparing to ensure fair election: Religious Adviser

Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain has assured that all security forces are actively preparing to ensure a free, fair and peaceful national election, leaving no room for communal unrest in the country.

He made the remarks on Friday while speaking to journalists following a visit to the under-construction Shri Shri Advaita Acharya Temple complex in Rajagaon, along the banks of the Jadukata River in Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj district.

“There is absolutely no scope for communal violence in the name of elections,” Dr. Khalid said. “Alongside the government, all security forces are taking necessary preparations to hold a fair and beautiful election.”

He added, “We are here for a short time. If we had more time, we could have done even more. Soon, we will hand over power to an elected government and return to our regular lives.”

The adviser arrived at Rajagaon around 11:30 AM and later addressed a discussion at the temple premises.

Among others present were Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Mohammad Elias Mia, Additional District Magistrate Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Zakir Hossain, Tahirpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Mehedi Hasan Manik, and Shri Shri Advaita Temple Committee General Secretary Advaita Roy.
