11 airguns recovered in Moulvibazar

The members of the Rapid Action Battalion recovered 11 airguns from a bush of a tea garden under Shrimangal upazila in Moulvibazar on Sunday night.

RAB-9 media officer KM Shahidul Islam Sohag said that a team of the battalion, acting on secret information, conducted a drive at Satgaon of Satgaon Tea Garden under the upazila at around 8:00pm on Sunday.

At that time, they found 11 airguns wrapped with two sacks from a bush near the Cha-Kanya Sculpture of the Satgaon Tea Garden, the RAB officer said.

He said that they seized the abandoned airguns and handed them over to Shrimangal police after filing a general diary in this connection.

He said that no one was arrested in this connection.
