Visa services to normalize quickly : Assistant High Commissioner

All types of Indian visa activities will return to normal soon, said Indian Assistant High Commissioner in Sylhet Aniruddha Das.

While interacting with journalists at the Sylhet District Press Club on Wednesday afternoon, he said that medical and double-entry visas are currently being issued. Initiatives have been taken to introduce other categories of visas including tourist visas in phases.

He said that the two countries have been preserving their culture since the past. We want to work together.

He also assured maximum cooperation in issuing visas to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Tensions began between Bangladesh-India relations in the context of the political change after the mass uprising 2024. Since then, India has restricted visa activities in Bangladesh. However, in the current situation, initiatives have been taken to gradually normalize that process, said the Assistant High Commissioner.
