UK military confers prestigious awards on Bangladeshi cadet

The UK’s Royal Military Academy awarded two prestigious awards to Officer Cadet Al Rafi Lamiz from Bangladesh on successfully completing the Commissioning Course.

The awards were handed over at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the UK’s world-leading military training academy, said the UK High Commission in Bangladesh in a Facebook post on Sunday.

The two awards are: King Hussein Award, which recognises the international cadet who demonstrated the greatest improvement throughout the course, and the Sandhurst Medal, which is awarded to all international officer cadets upon completion of their training at RMAS.

The honourary awards set a great example of UK-Bangladesh defence cooperation, the UK High Commission added in the Facebook post.
