London: From Moulvibazar in Sylhet to the multicultural streets of London, Sharmin Ahmed Bithi is gradually establishing herself as a familiar face in the British Bangladeshi community through modeling, Sylheti music videos and social media content creation.
With a strong connection to her Sylheti roots, Bithi has been using digital platforms to showcase Sylheti language, music, culture and expatriate life to audiences in the United Kingdom, Bangladesh and beyond.

In front of the camera, Bithi has taken on a variety of roles. At times, she appears as a model in Sylheti music videos; at other times, she creates lifestyle and entertainment content reflecting her experiences as a Bangladeshi expatriate living in Britain.
Bithi has so far appeared in around eight Sylheti music videos, with songs including “Asmaner Pori” and “Diamond Ring” receiving particular attention. Her appearance, expressions, styling and on-camera presence have helped her develop a distinctive identity among viewers.
Several other projects are also awaiting release, including “Rajkonna,” “Moner Jwala” and “Tumi Sukhi Hao.” With these upcoming releases, her involvement in the Sylheti music scene is expected to grow further.
Alongside music videos, Bithi is highly active on social media platforms including TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. One of her videos, “Asha Korchi London Jabo Student Visa-e” (“Hoping to Go to London on a Student Visa”), has reportedly received more than three million views. Her combined social media following is also reported to have surpassed half a million.
Her popularity extends beyond view counts and follower numbers. Her content has attracted members of the British Bangladeshi community as well as audiences in Bangladesh, particularly those who identify with the culture, lifestyle and experiences reflected in her work.
Bithi’s journey began in Moulvibazar town, where she grew up and completed her education. After completing her studies at a private school in Moulvibazar, she moved to the United Kingdom and began a new chapter of her life.
Marriage and expatriate life did not bring an end to her creative ambitions. Instead, Bithi embraced new opportunities in Britain and gradually developed her presence in modeling and digital content creation.
She has also received encouragement from her husband, A. K. M. Redwan Ghori, who is involved in modeling for music projects. Originally from Nabiganj, Redwan has been living in the United Kingdom for many years. Sharing an interest in music and modeling has allowed the couple to support and encourage each other in their creative activities.
Despite living thousands of miles from Bangladesh, Bithi says her connection with Sylhet remains an important source of inspiration. Through her involvement in Sylheti music and social media, she hopes to contribute to promoting the language and cultural heritage of Sylhet internationally.
For Bithi, this work carries particular importance because many young people of Bangladeshi and Sylheti heritage are growing up outside Bangladesh. Social media, she believes, can play an important role in helping younger generations reconnect with their language, music and cultural identity.
Her online presence has therefore become a bridge between two worlds—the cultural heritage of Sylhet and the diverse, multicultural environment of London.
While modeling introduced Bithi to the entertainment world, her ambitions extend beyond appearing in music videos. She aims to establish herself as an independent content creator and develop a platform where she can share entertainment, lifestyle stories and experiences of expatriate life.
In an increasingly digital world, building a connection with an audience is just as important as appearing in front of a camera. Bithi is seeking to strengthen that connection through regular content and by presenting stories that resonate with viewers both in Bangladesh and abroad.
Her journey is still developing, with new music videos, upcoming content and plans for larger creative projects on the horizon.
From the familiar streets of Moulvibazar to life in London, and from Sylheti music videos to social media content creation, Sharmin Ahmed Bithi is gradually building a distinctive identity within the British Bangladeshi community.
Her ambition is clear: to use her growing presence in the digital and entertainment space to help take Sylheti music and culture to a wider international audience.
