Dhaka Dokkein VillageCup football tournament concludes in London

The Dhaka Dokkein VillageCup Football Tournament organised by Dhaka Dokkein Development Organisation UK has concluded in a joyful atmosphere.
The Dhaka Dokkein VillageCup Football Tournament was held at the Stepney Green Football Ground on Sunday (October 11, 2026) in a very festive atmosphere with a large number of spectators, Dhaka Dokkein residents and football fans in attendance.
A team from each village participated in the Dhaka Dokkein VillageCup Football Tournament, organized for the fourth time by the Dhaka Dokkein Development Organisation.
The group stage games were very competitive. At the end of the group stage, four teams played semi-finals and then the final was held between the two winners.

The final game was played between the Nagar Village Football Team and the Shilghat Football Team. The Nagar Football Team won the highly competitive game and became the champion, while the Shilghat Football Team became the runner-up.
The teams participating in the game are Kanishail Football Team, Nagar Football Team, Dattarail Football Team, Barkot Football Team, Shilghat Football Team, and Dhaus Football Team.
The attraction of the tournament was the participation of a large number of new generation boys and girls with their families, parents, we, on behalf of the Executive Committee of Dhaka Dokkein Development Organization, express our gratitude to them because our main objective is to connect our new generation with its roots.
After the final game, the prize distribution ceremony was presided over by the organization’s vice-president Delwar Ahmed Shahan and the prize distribution ceremony was conducted by the organization’s general secretary Abdul Bashir.
Sports Secretary Nurul Islam thanked the members of the executive committee and everyone concerned and said that your cooperation in the VillageCup Football Tournament of Dhaka Dokkein Development Organization is truly commendable.
Present at the award ceremony and speaking at the event were Ataur Rahman Angur Miah, former councilor Zubair Khan Milon, former councilor Aminur Rashid Khan, and Md. Saleh Ahmed, among the organization’s respected advisors.

Medals were awarded to the managers and all the players of each team participating in the tournament, and trophies were awarded to all the players of the champion Nagar football team and every player of the runner-up Shilghat football team, and the champion trophy and runner-up trophy were awarded.
Ali Hossain of the Nagar Gram Football Team was named the best player in the game and received the trophy.
