Sheffield Awami League organised meeting in protest of terrorism and extremist attacks

ffvUK Awami League Sheffield branch organised a meeting on 12th of July in protest of terrorist attacks in Gulshan, Sholakia and in other places.  The meeting was conducted by General Secretary of Sheffield Awami League Saifullah Khaled where Founder President of Sheffield Awami League M Mohid Ali Mithu delivered the speech as President.

In his President’s speech, Mohid Ali Mithu said that the attacks in Gulshan and Sholakia are very shameful for Bangladesh. These are vile and evil crimes.

He also emphasised that Islam in a religion of peace.  The attackers are doing this to bring shame to Islam.  The terrorists are now conspiring against Islam by killing Muslims even being Muslim.  These cannot be acts of any Muslim, people who are involved in this can’t achieve anything other than hate.

Other guests who addressed the audience included Vice-president of newly formed Sheffield Awami League Committee Matiur Rahman, Journalist Ahmed Hossain Helal, Wahid Ali, Joint General Secretary Sufian Ahmed Chowdhury, Ataur Rahman, Sheikh Najmul Siddiqi, Gaus Ali, Ujjol Chowdhury, M Ibrahim Ali, M Aahanam Ali and others.
