Prayer and discussion meeting in London in memory of philanthropist Alhaj Abdul Matlib

London: At midnight on Thursday 6th July, caterers leader and
prominent community figure and European ambassador of
Bangladesh Human Rights Commission and father of Mohammad
Shahidur Rahman, joint general secretary of West London Awami
League, in memory of late Alhaj Abdul Matlib, organized by West
London Awami League and Human Rights Common England branch,
held a meeting at Rohit Restaurant in Cancelrise, West London. And
doa mahfil was organized. The deceased's son-in-law Kensel
Rise Association President and Bangladesh Human Rights
Commission Governor Taraul Islam participated in the prayer
meeting and discussion under the overall management and

Kingdom Awami League Organizing Secretary Abdul Ahad

additions on behalf of the deceased's family were Abdur Rab,
Roman Ahmad, and Raju Ahmad. It is to be noted here that
Samj Hitaisi Alhj Abdul Matlib, senior elder of Balisahasr village
of Rajnagar Upazila and a prominent arbiter of the area, died
on July 4th after being treated at Sylhet Mount Edora Hospital
due to dysentery. He was 85 years old at the time of his death.
He was buried in the family graveyard of Balisahasr village after
the funeral prayers the next day. He was associated with
several philanthropic activities during his lifetime.
