The door of Kuwait Airways plane has broke down as the boarding bridge-6 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital suddenly collapsed.
The incident took place at Kuwait Airways flight KU-283, a Boeing 777-300 aircraft, at about 2:20AM on Wednesday, shortly after the passengers had got down.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to airport sources, the boarding bridge attached to the aircraft’s door suddenly collapsed. Only the pilot and cabin crew were inside the aircraft.
The captain, Kuwaiti national Azbali Mohammad, and his crew remained unharmed.
The plane was scheduled to depart Dhaka for Kuwait with 284 passengers at 2:45am.
Kuwait Airways sources said that due to the damage, the Kuwait-bound passengers had been accommodated in hotels, adding that, another Kuwait Airways flight would arrive in Dhaka to transport them.
