A motorcycle rider was killed and another injured when a truck hit their motorbike at Noapara under Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj district on Saturday.
The deceased was Sushil Das Pramanik, 38, son of Balak Das Pramanik and a worker at a local factory.
“The accident took place around 8.30 am on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway when a truck hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction, leaving bike rider Sushil dead on the spot and its pillion injured,” said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shayestaganj Highway Police Station Shuvo Ranjan Chakma.
The injured was taken to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex.
