Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka honors Queen Rambhai Barni

The Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka organised a special event to honor Queen Rambhai Barni, consort of King Rama VII of Thailand, marking the centenary of her royal contributions.

During the event, the Ambassador led embassy officials in paying tribute before a portrait of Queen Rambhai Barni to commemorate the recognition of her legacy under a resolution by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

The recognition highlighted her royal virtues and lifelong dedication to education, sustainable social development, and gender equality.

On the occasion, the Embassy invited eight monks from Badda Buddhist Monastery to offer prayers and conduct a merit-making ceremony dedicated to the late Queen.

Embassy officials also jointly arranged a luncheon and offered traditional gifts and offerings to the monks as part of the commemorative program.
