Actresses want to become MPs

Some actresses want to become members of the national parliament from reserved seats for women as they have collected nomination papers from Awami League on Tuesday.

A total of seven actresses collected nomination papers from the party office on the 23 Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital’s Gulistan.

Among the aspirants, there were Apu Bishwas, Nipun Akter, Syeda Kamrun Nahar Shahnoor, Urmila Srabonti Kar, Sohana Saba, Tanvin Sweety and Meher Afroz Shaon.

All of them expressed their hope to get nominations from Awami League.
