Shomi Kaiser released from jail after 9-month

Actress Shomi Kaiser released from Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail on Thursday night in a murder attempt case related to July uprising.

She walked out of the prison at about 10:40PM after securing bail, said prison official Md Jahangir Kabir.

Jahangir Kabir, Additional Inspector General of Prisons, said Shomi Kaiser was released getting bail in a murder attempt case filed with Uttara East Police Station.

The actress was arrested on November 5 last year from her Uttara home and later shown arrested in the murder case related to the July uprising. She was sent to jail on November 9 by a Dhaka court.
