Journos boycott NCP’s press conference protesting assault

Journalists boycotted press conference of National Citizen Party (NCP) and returned back from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after assaulting there by the party leaders and activists on Thursday morning.

The incident happened at about 9:45AM at VIP entrance of the airport.

According to the journalists, one of the media man requested NCP leaders, who were chanting slogans, to keep clam while Humayun Kabir, foreign affairs adviser to BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, was briefing them. It made the leaders angry. Then they assaulted the media personnel.

However, protesting the assault, the journalist left the place, boycotting their press brief.
