The Bangladesh Petrol Pump Owners’ Association (BPPOA) has warned that filling stations across the country may shut down at any time due to a fuel shortage.
The organization mentioned the matter in a message on its official Facebook page on Sunday (March 22) night.
In a statement issued on Sunday night, the association said the situation at filling stations nationwide is extremely dire. According to a post on its official Facebook page, the amount of fuel currently being supplied daily by oil companies is insufficient to meet customer demand.
The statement noted that millions of motorcycle users across the country are being forced to wait for hours to purchase fuel, leaving them exhausted, frustrated, and increasingly agitated.
