
Bangladesh recorded 888 new suspected measles cases and one more death in the past 24 hours, the country’s health authorities said on Saturday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) health bulletin, 80 cases of measles were confirmed between 8am Friday and 8am Saturday, with one confirmed death during the same period.
The DGHS said that since 15 March, the total number of confirmed measles cases has stood at 2,489, while suspected cases have reached 14,385.
During the same period, 24 people died from confirmed measles, while 145 deaths were reported among suspected cases.
Besides, a total of 7,022 patients have recovered so far, the DGHS said.
