Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith today said the government would finalise the next national budget giving importance to the education, health and sanitation sector.
“We will ensure a total sanitation this time though the country has achieved an almost 100 per cent sanitation coverage,” he said while inaugurating the renovation of Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium and an open stage as the chief guest here.
He said the government had given importance to the energy and power sector in the last five years’ national budgets.
The minister said the government would construct an energy store and sea port in the southern region of the country with a budget several times higher than that of the Padma Bridge.He said construction of the Padma Bridge is going on in full swing.
