Former General Secretary of Bangladesh Welfare Association, Alhaj Ahbab Hossain, a senior community leader, is no longer (Inna Lillah Ew Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He left his last breath at a London hospital on Friday afternoon. At the time of his death, he was 81 years old.
The late Ahbab Hossain, the son of Hasan Fatema Pur of Jagannathpur Upazila in Sunamganj district, was one of the founders of the foundation of the Bangladeshi community, the son of late Ayub Ali Masters, a respected leader who once led the community. Alhaj Ahab Hossain was one of the most respected leaders in Britain’s Bangladeshi community. In the 70s, he served as general secretary of the Bangladesh Welfare Association, devoted to community development.
