Attack on Bernicat’s convoy: Chargesheeted accused Siam arrested

Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Monday night arrested Siam Hasan, a chargesheeted accused in a case filed over the attack on the convoy of the then-US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia S Bernicat in August 2018.

A team of DB from Tejgaon arrested Siam Hasan, 26, from a house on Tajmahal Road at Mohammadpur in the capital around 11:30PM.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the DMP media and public relations division, confirmed this.

Mentionable, Siam Hasan is an accused in another case related to the killing during the recent student uprising and has several other cases pending against him.
