Swechhasebak Dal leader shot dead in Fatulla

A local leader of Swechchhasebak Dal was reportedly shot to death by miscreants in Narayanganj’s Fatulla on Friday.

The incident took place early in the morning near Fatulla railway line.

The dead, Mamun Hossain, son of the late Saman Ari Bepari of the Purba Lalpur railway line area of Fatulla, was a joint convener of the Thana Swechchhasebak Dal, in Fatulla, Narayanganj.

Fatulla Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Kamal Mia said that the deceased Mamun Hossain was a brick, sand and cement trader. He was present while loading and unloading goods on Thursday night in front of his shop and returned home. He was later called at 4:30 am on Friday and shot.
The miscreants shot him in the right eye and fled. Mamun died on the spot after being shot.
