5 charges brought against Sheikh Hasina in probe report

Officials of the tribunal’s investigation agency have brought five charges, including instigation and direct order for mass killing, against Sheikh Hasina, according to the report submitted on Monday.

The report was handed over to Chief Prosecutor Tazul Islam by the coordinator and officials of the investigation agency at about 10:55AM.

It includes former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun.

The agency confirmed it has found evidence that Sheikh Hasina gave direct orders related to the atrocities.

On 18 February, the tribunal had ordered the investigation into the genocide during the July-August uprising to be completed by 20 April.
